Member of the viral team responsible for increasing user registrations and user
retention.

- Led the project to convert Bebo infrastructure to support multi-part MIME
  alternative email
- Converted various customer-support related tools from legacy JSP to Bebo's 
  homegrown MVC framework
- Designed and developed the Viral Path Tool which enabled non-engineers to 
  create a virtual "path" through the viral loop with custom content and 
  configurabl e A/B tests on each "step"


Member of Technical Staff IV, Sun Microsystems	           April 2004 - Present

Key member of the Sun StorageTek 5800 product group who contributed design and 
code to critical components of this clustered archival storage solution.
- Designed and developed original command-line interface, whose design was later
  extended to allow a Java-based GUI to manage clusters
- Expanded the cluster management layer to enable implementation of a clustered 
  distributed configuration
- Maintained the data integrity engine which included bit rot detection, cluste
  expansion and healing
- Wrote functional specifications and detailed design documents for all work


Senior Software Engineer, Oddpost	              June 2003 - February 2004

Enabled deeper market penetration of the Oddpost web-based email solution. 
Oddpost was subsequently acquired by Yahoo and is their current well-regarded 
webmail client.
- Designed and participated in the deployment of a new server architecture 
  allowing Oddpost to scale it’s backend in a sustainable manner
- Implemented enterprise-level functionality, enabling Oddpost to license their
  solution to 3rd party vendors

Software Engineer Consultant, Autodesk	              November 2002 - June 2003

Created and enhanced features for Buzzsaw, an online collaboration and project 
management tool. Mentored team members in XML and XSLT technologies.

Principal Engineer, FileFish	                       November 2000 - May 2002

Led design and development of FileFish's flagship product, an enterprise-level 
secure remote access appliance. Overall focus of the design team was to create 
a product that was powerful, yet easy to use, quick to deploy, with a low total 
cost of ownership.
- Grew engineering team from 1 to 10 people and created team processes
- Completed extensible file server API which enabled faster front-end 
  development
- Quickly developed concrete understanding of wireless and file server markets
- Final gold product delivered on schedule and met all original design goals
- Awarded United States Patent #7,359,933: a method for utilizing dual proxies 
  to enable remote access to protected network applications

Designed and implemented the web architecture (n-tiered) and application 
components for ThinkLink’s unified messaging platform.
- Created highly scalable Internet architecture that supported 5 million 
  registered users
- Completed servlet-based template engine that dynamically created HTML via 
  XML/XSL that allowed content/UI changes without changes to code base
- Developed connection pooling system that improved uptime and response time of 
  the Internet architecture by an estimated 80%

Led project teams developing eCommerce and other Internet applications for 
Fortune 100 clients.
- Utilized a broad array of technologies to implement client solutions
- Built a web-based content management system that helped The Coca-Cola 
  Company reduce overall print costs
- Designed and built the original system used by BellSouth.net to provision 
  new accounts. The solution integrated various legacy systems and helped
